Traced playing a FLAC file - selected “DSD” as “Output Mode” into the SACD menu. Traced playing a FLAC file - selected “PCM” as “Output Mode” into the SACD menuAs mentioned, the DAC always displays “DSD”.Thanks! 0.8.2 is indeed the latest one. For some reason Windows 10 says it’s the v0.8.1, which is also confirmed by Revo Uninstaller.
However, it works!@Maxime, as you say selecting “none” into “PCM to DSD” the machine back to display PCM. Thank you very much for supporting us so promptly!Remains to understand why foobar2000 starts playing the converted FLAC to DSD files with a fade-in@nAr, your system says that you have more than one version installed, and suggests to uninstall the older one. It does NOT say that you are not up to date. Do you see what i mean?An hello to everyone:D. I am glad I found this thread because I am having a similar problem. Foobar will not play ANY music, errors only.I set it up as in the dummies guide.
I'm using an iFi DSD Micro which has XMOS 2.26 based drivers and have no problems in that regard, no pops no static. I have max buffer size in the XMOS drivers control panel and 300ms in Foobar, also increased memory in Foobar to load most tracks into RAM.Does the Gustard use an isolated XMOS adapter? If not it could also be PC noise leaking through the USB port.Next Windows 10 big update (Spring next year) will include for the first time native USB Audio Class 2 drivers so no need for XMOS drivers unless you want to use some of the added functionality.
